Will my messages show as coming from my business?

Yes, you have options for the sender ID. You can use a Sender Name (alphanumeric, up to 11 characters, e.g., “XINIX” or your brand name) for one-way messages where you don’t need replies. Or you can use a virtual mobile number or short code as the sender, which allows two-way communication (people can reply to that number). We provide a free reply number on certain packages or you can rent one for a small monthly fee. Sender names are great for recognition (like your brand appearing as the sender), whereas virtual numbers are great if you want customers to be able to reply.

Is there a limit to how many messages I can send at once?

Technically no hard limits – our system is built to handle very large campaigns. If you plan to send extremely large volumes (say, over 100k in one go), let us know so we can ensure optimal routing. The main consideration is ensuring you have enough credits in your account for the batch. We’ve had clients send half a million SMS in a day with no issues. Our infrastructure will scale to meet demand.

How do opt-outs (STOP messages) work?

We make compliance easy. By default, if a recipient replies with “STOP” (or any recognized stop command), our system will automatically mark them as unsubscribed. You won’t be charged for receiving the STOP message and that contact will be blocked from future sends from your account. We also offer an opt-out list upload if you’re migrating from another system and want to ensure those who previously opted out don’t get messages. Additionally, each campaign report shows how many opted out, so you can gauge list cleanliness.

Yes, we use HTTPS encryption for the dashboard and API. Our data centers are ISO 27001 certified and we have strict data privacy controls. Many clients use Xinix for OTPs (one-time passcodes) and alerts where security is crucial. We also offer features like IP whitelisting (so only your office/server IPs can access the account) and 2-factor login for your user account to keep it safe. SMS itself is not end-to-end encrypted, so extremely sensitive data shouldn’t be in the message content, but for typical use (codes, notifications) it’s industry standard practice.
