Feature-Rich Softphone

The communicator is a free Softphone developed by Xinix. The easy-to-use interface allows users to make and receive calls as if it were a physical desktop phone. With the Communicator Softphone you will find some of the best and most popular software features including voice and video calls, messaging, presence, phone directory, and fax-to-email.

Send email from Communicator

Send email to your system contacts straight from the Communicator contacts list. No need to keep your email client open all the time or search for email addresses anymore.

Drag and Drop Call

Select a contact from the list and drag it over to the Softphone. Just drop it into the Softphone to make a phone call.

Instant Messaging and File Sharing

Softphone

The design of the Communicator Softphone resembles the standard desk phone, with slightly improved layout and functionality. The wide variety of features and actions provided by the Softphone are perfectly suited to modern, computerized communication. Your desk phone is simply not needed anymore.
Manage all aspects of your calls visually. No more hassle dialling a number published on a web page or contained in an email. Access your voicemail inbox instantly and transfer calls directly to the desired extensions.

With Softphone, everything is as simple as a click.

  • Drag & Drop Dialling – Select a contact from the list and drag it over to Softphone. Just drop it into Softphone to make a phone call.
  • Call on Available – Communicator will notify you as soon as the user becomes available and allow you to call with a single click.
  • Call Control – Control your calls visually using the Softphone. Transfer calls, put calls on hold, merge calls, turn video ON/OFF, park calls, etc.
  • Caller ID – Communicator displays Caller ID for every call that is made, so you may identify the caller. Caller ID will be displayed during a call as well.

  • Apple Address Book Integration – Import your Apple Address Book contacts database into the Communicator Phonebook. Keep all of your contacts in one place and make calls, send emails, etc. straight from Communicator.
  • Outlook Contacts – Import your MS Outlook contacts database into Communicator Phonebook. Keep all of your contacts in one place and make calls, send emails, etc. straight from Communicator.

Setup

  • Setup Wizards – The setup and configuration of Communicator takes only a couple of minutes and requires just a few pieces of information to be entered. The rest of the work is handled by Communicator itself.
  • Windows MSI Installer – Mass deployment of Communicator on the Windows platform, has never been easier. Use MSI configuration to run setup on multiple instances automatically upon user login and voila, you’re done in no time.
  • Configuration Files – You may import configuration parameters from a file – for example, a list of service providers. Just load the file into Communicator and the rest will be done automatically.
  • Silent Install – Install Communicator on multiple machines simultaneously without disrupting the users. No user activity is required during the installation and configuration procedure. After the installation just input login details and start using Communicator.

  • Network Statistics – Monitor your SIP network statistics at any time. Identify if there are issues with your network and notify the network administrator.
